Nothern California/Southern Oregon coast

We drove along the coast for the better part of two days, after we left Wine Country and before we got to Portland. This was an extremely common, yet amazing, scene.



Nice scenery, eh? The water and the cliffs aren't bad either.


What she's trying to show you is that immediately below her is a huge drop off that goes straight down to the ocean. There is no rail or anything, so she's pretty much risking her life to bring you this shot.


Another life risking shot. Those are gimungous elk munching on some grass. There was about 8-9 of them, though you can't see all of them. They're right next to the ocean. Notice the sand on the beach. It was dark gray. I've never seen anything like that.


The end of California's famed Pacific Coast Highway. On to Portland.
