A visit with the Offenheisers
After leaving the inlaws where I've been spoiled rotten for a week, I wanted to make sure that at my next stop I would be treated to similar accommodations. With that in mind, I traveled to Fresno (actually Clovis) to meet some old friends, Michael and Antoinette Offenheiser and... wait. What's this!? It's a new member of the Offenheiser clan.
His name is Nathaniel which means God has given. If you had the chance to meet him as I have the past two days I'm sure you would agree it's an appropriate name for such a beautiful little child. He's just six months old, but growing at a steady clip. And he's such a pleasent baby to have around. I think Nathaniel and I are going to have to hang out some more in the future.
It was awesome catching up with Michael and Antoinette and I'm happy to report that things are going very well for this growing family. Michael's off early each day doing lawyerly stuff while Antoinette and baby manage the homefront. It's a state of marital bliss, I tell you.
While it is tempting to stay long term, The Lyrical Gangster must move on. Tomorrow it's off to Sequioa and Kings Canyon National Parks in the morning before heading off to Berkeley tomorrow night. You read that right, I'm making my second trip to the Bay Area in two weeks. Both intentional. Don't worry, though, nothing has changed. Strictly logistics. I promise.
I pick Naj up at the airport on Thursday and, following a brief stint with Brother Will, it's off to the great North.
Keep it tuned for updates as I travel. Also, watch for pictures of Yosemite (where I was today) coming in the very near future.
